Mirage Galaxy is a plush mohair velvet in an abstract strié of cool blues and soft grays. Streaks of denim and slate blue run through the pile against a warm greige ground, with hints of smoky charcoal and sage where the colors blend, like brushstrokes or weathered marble, so the color shifts and moves as the light changes. From across the room it reads as a moody, sophisticated blue-gray, and up close it reveals its painterly texture. Mohair has long been a favorite for fine upholstery because of its resilience and its rich, velvety hand, and the acrylic in the blend adds body and helps the pile hold its shape. It pairs well with ivory, oatmeal, charcoal, navy, rust, cognac leather, walnut and brushed nickel.
Use it for sofas, club and accent chairs, ottomans, benches, headboards and throw pillows, anywhere you want a statement velvet with depth. The pile runs up the bolt and the design has a repeat, so cut all pieces in the same direction and allow extra yardage for matching.
