Gorky in White from Mario Sirtori is a luxurious chunky boucle upholstery fabric: dense curled loops of ivory-white yarn over a warm greige-taupe ground, with the soft, tactile depth of a premium Italian woven textile. The face is a full, pillowy boucle with visible loop texture; the reverse is a flat charcoal-gray that reads as a completely different cloth. This is the kind of fabric that photographs beautifully on a sofa or accent chair and feels even better in person — the alpaca and wool content give it a warmth and softness that synthetic boucles simply can't replicate.
The fiber blend — 37% acrylic, 23% cotton, 17% wool, 12% alpaca, 11% polyester — is engineered for durability as well as hand: the acrylic and polyester stabilize the structure and bring the abrasion rating to 37,000 Martindale cycles, well into contract territory, while the wool and alpaca deliver the luxurious weight and warmth. Yarn dyed, space dyed and skein dyed for depth of color. Dry clean only; no washing, no bleach, no tumble dry.
