Crypton Sintra in Poppy is a performance velvet in a vivid, warm red with a slight orange-tomato cast, a true poppy red and not a burgundy or cherry. The dense polyester pile has the refined look of a classic European Dralon velvet, with a soft hand and a rich luster that lifts to a brighter scarlet in the light and deepens to a fuller red in shadow. It pairs well with crisp white, cream, charcoal, navy, camel, walnut, black and brass.
What sets Sintra apart is the Crypton Home technology. Rather than a surface spray, each fiber is encapsulated through an immersion process, giving the fabric lasting resistance to stains, moisture, odors and mildew. Spills bead up instead of soaking in, most fresh stains wipe away with a damp cloth and water, and tougher spots usually clean up with a little mild soap and water. That makes a bold velvet practical for everyday living, even with kids and pets.
At over 50,000 double rubs, Sintra is rated for heavy-duty residential use. Use it for sofas, sectionals, accent and dining chairs, ottomans, benches, headboards, cushions and throw pillows, as well as drapery and window treatments. It's a solid with no repeat, and the pile runs up the roll, so cut all pieces in the same direction for an even color.
