A quietly handsome small-scale jacquard built for seating that gets used. A fine diamond lattice runs across a dark teal ground, with tiny woven dots set inside the diamonds in sand, gray and black — an orderly, dignified pattern that reads almost as texture from a few feet away and rewards a closer look. The colors are woven in rather than printed on, so the pattern goes right through the cloth and won't wear off the high points of a seat.
This is the kind of goods that has covered church pews, chapel chairs and temple seating for generations, and for good reason: the small repeat hides wear and soiling far better than a plain, the deep teal sits comfortably with wood tones and stone alike, and the pattern is calm enough to sit behind a room full of people rather than compete with it. At 35,000 double rubs it is rated well past everyday household use, so it holds up to daily sitting year after year. It works just as well on a dining chair, a bench, a window seat or a headboard at home.
The repeat is tiny — 1 inch across, 1.3 inches down — so there's very little matching waste, small pieces cut efficiently, and you can run it in either direction without the pattern looking wrong.
