Black and white chenille yarns are looped together into a nubby, heavily textured surface that reads as a soft charcoal gray from across the room and resolves into distinct flecks up close. There's no pattern to match — the texture is the pattern — and the two-tone flecking is exactly what makes it practical: it hides crumbs, pet hair, lint and the everyday marks that show instantly on a flat solid.
The hand is soft and substantial, with the looped chenille pile giving it body and a comfortable, inviting feel underhand.
